I went across the causeway to johor with three of my friends on saturday.My friend drove and although we set out at around 3pm plus, we still got stuck at the checkpoint.Due to boredom,we started to look at the cars on the left and right lanes beside us and started to talk crap.We saw a baby who was in car which had a batam sticker on it.We termed the baby as the 'batam baby'.There was a mazda car which had a cockroach crawling all over its bonet.We called that the 'karang-guni car'.Ard 5pm plus we cleared the Singapore customs and got stuck at the Malaysian customs next.After like half an hour,we finally cleared that also and got into johor.We then tried to change money but were shooed away by the traffic police as we had parked illegally and so we went to another money changer outlet to change our money.Afterwhich, my friend suggested that we headed to pandan city for cheap goods and so we went there.I had fish & chips while my friends had hot plate for dinner.I have to admit that the girl serving us food was very attractive.My friends were so smitten by her.Haha.After dinner,we walked up & down the whole place.My friends did a lot of shopping.We finally left the place ard 10pm.After filling up petrol at a nearby shell outlet,we headed back to Singapore.This time round,the wait at the customs was not so bad.After clearing both checkpoints,we headed back home....

Exam results are out and i did fairly well.I am so glad that i have cleared all the papers at one go.The upcoming semester after the holidays is going to be a very challenging one.I shall try my very best to work as hard as i can.I worked for a day as a pump attendant at shell and received a total of nine bucks as tips.Haha.I decided against working there as it is quite a tiring job and when school reopens,i was told that i have to work saturdays and sundays.I have been warned by my peers that the coming semester requires a lot of hard work and time and if i spend so much time working,i am afraid i might not be able to concentrate on studies.Also my mom is not very keen on me working there and i have a fear of spoiling someone's windscreen when i am cleaning it.Fasting month for this year has been ok so far.I went down to the bazaar today and it was so hot & stuffy.There is almost all the same things as the previous years.I met a few of my NS colleagues down there as well.After walking up and down for two hours,i finally headed home after getting myself kebabs....

Today is probably the most interesting day for me in a long time.I slept at around 6am in the morning and at around 7am,someone from a primary school calls me to come down for relief teaching and to be at the school by 7.40am.It was definitely impossible for me to make it that early so i refused the offer and went back to sleep.By the way,i had signed up for relief teaching and that was why the primary school actually called me up.Then around 11am,i received another phone call from the same primary school to come down for relief teaching by 12.30pm.This time round, i agreed.I quickly got ready and went down to the school but i was late by 10 minutes.Haha.I had to fill up a few forms and i thought i would only have to cover one or two lessons but i was so wrong.I was given a whole day timetable for a primary one class.I had to fill in for a teacher who was on mc.The kids were so noisy and restless.It was so difficult to get their attention.Somehow i managed to teach them maths,take them to recess and back to class,teach them english,take them for PE and finally to the parade square for flag lowering before they were dismissed.Hahaha.It was such a memorable experience.My hush puppies shoes also gave way.Both the soles came out and i just pulled it out and dumped it into the dustbin.Goodness!What a day!Shall update soon..

Exam results are coming soon.Arghhhh..I have just about tried every means of trying to get a job.It seems highly likely that i will not be having a job during this holidays.I attended my former Assistant Director's Wedding Dinner reception at Park Hotel on friday.This was actually my first time attending a chinese style wedding reception.I had no idea that i was supposed to give the 'hongbao' at the reception itself to those people marking our attendance.Afterwhich my friend told me that we had to give them before proceeding to the ballroom and so i passed it to them.Then we had to wait for such a long time at the lobby before we were allowed into the ballroom.There was only one table out of the whole ballroom serving halal food and I was joined there by my former colleagues.The appetizer was 'tahu goreng' and it was not so bad.Just a bit spicy.The chicken soup was so salty and the main items were rice and a few side dishes.Everything was good except for the yucky looking green chilli paste chicken.My friends tried it and said that it tasted real bad and so i did not bother to try it.The dessert was just a few slices of fruits.After taking pictures with the wedding couple, i left the hotel for home.It was quite a fruitful day for me considering that i have been mostly slacking at home doing nothing for the holidays.
Yesterday afternoon, i was so bored that i watched Terminator 3:Rise of the Machines on youtube.Haha.Another similar terminator storyline movie but heck i enjoyed every bit of the action.Terminator 4 is slated for release in 2009 and I plan to catch it.Woohoo!I watched England take on Andorra for the World Cup Qualifiers this morning on tv.As usual,England played poorly and got away with a two goal win.As an english fan,i have to say that they really have to play very much better than how they played this morning if they are to qualify or risk missing out on a major tournament like how they missed Euro 2008.All right then,there is nothing much to update for now.Till next time..

I have been trying to find a job but my attempts have been in vain.I signed up with a job agency during my study week so that i can commence on a new job after my exams were over.But guess what?The super-duper smart agent found me two jobs that required me to start on the day of my exam papers even though i had stated on the form that i had to fill up, that i could only start after my exams were over.Afterwhich the agent went quiet on me.A day after all my papers were over,i gave my agent a call and he told me that there were currently no jobs available for me.A few minutes later,he called me up with a warehouse job offer but since it is the fasting month,i declined the job offer as i do not really think that i will have enough strength to carry heavy stuff.And so i have been jobless for the past few days now.I have been eagerly waiting for someone to offer me some kind of temporary job but that hasn't happened.At least not yet.Though i am hoping that it will happen soon..
